MURDER VICTIMS IDENTIFED BY Reporter Alyaa Moonwall Fleet News Service
An autopsy has confirmed the identities of the the four bodies found last week on the 7th Heaven. All victims were female. DNA records matched the bodies to 7th Heaven Crew members, missing since the night of the murders. All reported for duty the night of the murders but never transferred the helm. Victims identifed as Sally VanDyke, 31, Rachel Noobe, 24, April Spring, 21 and Carol Stiff, 17.
Autopsy also confirmed that all victims were killed by a shot to the back of the head, execution style. Their bodies were burned using some sort of flammable fluid that was discovered at the scene. It is not known if the burnings were meant to send a message or delay the investigation. One of the bodies was discovered stuffed in a flight control locker, while the other three were in the air lock on the engineering section of 7TH. The bodies have been released to 7th Heaven XO Tanya Halberd, who is in charge while Captain Columbia recuperates from her near fatal injuries that occured during the last centurion attack.
Details concerning arrangements for the brave crew women have not been released.
