News Flash…..
This just in reports are coming in that Battlestar Brunnhilde conducted a daring rescue of the missing crewman and civilian from a nearby cylon basestar. Initial reports say that Lt Lannock, Windy Weiland and Cpt McMillan were rescued, but that Lt Fitzgerald, Cpt Xi and Lt Vendetta are still being held on the cylon baseship.
Sources on BH report that Windy was bleeding and was carried to sickbay by a cylon Centurion. According to sources the escape was masterminded by Lt Fitzgerald with the assistance of that cylon Centurion.

Fleet News :: Captain killed by terrorist group |

CNS – Reporter- Avenia Baily Last week several members of the
Terrorist group “Hand of Apollo” attacked TQ Captain Cathiee McMillan.
She reportedly died later in medical. It was unclear as to if this was
in retaliation for their incarceration or if this was to send a message
to anyone that would listen. It was confirmed that 4 members of this
group were killed during their escape. The question remains as to what
the newest motive for these attacks is. It is rumored that several
members of the fleet have been issued threats. Some have even gone into
hiding. This includes my colleague and fellow reporter.

Fleet News :: Celestra and Picon Courier Fall to Meteor Strikes |

This is Simon Vander, reporting from the Afterburners Lounge on 7th Heaven, where the now refugees from Celestra have gathered after leaving their dying home. Moments ago, the final order came from Pacifica Executive Officer Contempomi: "Battlestars open fire". Destroy the Celestra, as her now unmanned and out of control course endangered 7th Heaven.
The cries of anguish from the crew were almost as if they were still aboard. As they watched their ship die, it was all to clear that something in them died with it. Communications Officer Mariana Lomu, cried "Long Live Celestra".
What brought us here?
Earlier today, as fleet pilots both civilian and military sat in the courtroom for a safety seminar, Celestra's alarms sounded. As Celestra Command Crew rushed to the bridge the warning came from CIC47: evasive action. Unknown objects approaching. Before Celestra could fire main engines for orbit break speed explosions rocked the ship, knocking people from their seats and causing fires on teh bridge, landing bay and engine room. Celestra had been hit by meteors.
The bridge was evacuated, but the bridge crew then found themselves trapped in the stairwell by fire. Meanwhile below deck, people scrambled to collect whatever firefighting gear could be mustered to combat the blaze and save the wounded vessel and her passengers and crew.
Raptors and Shuttles launched from other vessels to evacuate endangered passengers while military personnel joined with Celestra's crew and CSA to attempt to control the blaze and rescue trapped passengers, including teacher Lillystar Parx, Chief Justice Casiopeia Catteneo and ShannonLani Serapis.
Miraculously, no lives were lost on Celestra. But after heroic efforts by all involved to save the ship, Captain Serapis gave the order dreaded by all that serve and live aboard any vessel: Abandon Ship.
Anguished and beaten, those still there boarded the last raptor and shuttle, and departed Celestra for the last time. But it was not over yet...
As injured crew and passengers were receiving treatment, another frantic call came from CIC47: Picon Courier take evasive action! It was too late. A single large meteor struck the Courier, igniting the ships tylium tanks and destroying the ship with all hands. 207 crew members and passengers lost their lives as the ship exploded. There was no time to run. No time to fight the fire.
To families of those lost aboard the Picon Courier, we mourn with you. To the survivors of Celestra, good hunting. You served a fine ship. And she will live on.

Fleet News :: Captain McMillan...tell us! |

The Voice
We call on the colonial President to hold a press conference to tell us why the Government continues to hide what happened to Cpt. McMillan. It has been nearly a week and her body still lays “guarded” on the CSA torture ship Celestra. This reporter has been told that Cylons attempted to take Cpt. McMillan body, but there was some sort of confrontation and the Cylons gave the body back to them. Was she a cylon? If so what secrets did she give the Cylons, she had access to very sensitive CSA files; maybe she was there to ensure the other cylons are not discovered? How many more are there in this fleet? Can they be trusted? Can are Government be trusted?
Why is the government so secretive about the events of the botched rescue? Is this the mere tip of a larger and more secretive cover up? Madam President we are the people we elected you, and know you need to fulfill your role and inform us of what is going on…..
We “The Voice” shall not remain silent we will continue to circulate this newspaper till once and for all the government ran news is free and reports what really happened; not something government official has sugar coated.

Fleet News :: News Around the Fleet |

FLEET ADVISORY From: The Science Office Battlestar Pacifica
There has been in increase in solar activity from closest Star, sun flares and sunburst have been increasing in cycle. We believe this is a normal cycle with any star and expect it to last for a week. The fleet should expect some communication outages and Draids malfunctions depending on the size of the flare ups. Also the fleet might experience some problems with electronics and circuits during these flare ups.
Also there has been an increase in Gravitational pull from the Star around .54% from are last reading which was one month ago. We have been monitoring the asteroid belt and this should have little to no effect on the orbit of these asteroids.
We will continue to monitor this situation closely and advise you if it changes.

Fleet News :: ALWAYS REMEMBER, NEVER FORGET |

Members of the fleet gathered around to remember the 93 souls that were lost during the unfortunate happening on BH. It was asked that their souls be lifted by the Lords of Kobol, their burdens taken away and allow for enternal life in the Fields of Elysium. Individuals such as Sgt. Luskin, who was a retired Colonial Defence Force Sgt., Ensign Kadia who worked for four years to earn her wings, and Crewman Ricky who made a new home with us here, where just the few that were named out of the many, to show the heartfelt dedication and passion these people had to serve, protect, help and call BH their home.
Though these 93 sould will not be written in history books, they should be remembered by each and everyone of us. We should hold a special place in our hearts for them. While everyone is going through their day to day tasks, take a moment, and thank the Gods for another day of being alive and appericate the lives around you.
